This backyard garden with a terrace and inner patio was designed by landscapist Cate Poli, who is the happy owner of them. As her house is located in Brazil, she went for drought resistant plants, grass and palm trees. There are a lot of creeping plants that decorate the walls of the house and add to the greenery of the backyard as it’s rather small and there isn’t much place for gardening. The deck and the terrace are hidden under the roof to avoid excessive sunlight in the afternoon. Gravel was used for hardscaping as the most useful and practical, and natural wood was used for the decks. I love the choice of bold garden furniture that accentuates the outdoor spaces.
