Making your own cards for Valentine’s Day is a smart move for your pocketbooks and a fun art project, too. With this craft, your child can gift each person in their class with a piece of original artwork from the heart: HEARTwork!
- pink poster paper
- white paint
- pen or marker
- Paint the pink poster paper in an abstract way. Channel your inner Jackson Pollock and go wild with the paint! Once finished, set it aside to dry.
- Cut out a heart-shaped template from a piece of poster paper or from one of your blank notecards. Use the heart-shaped template to trace hearts onto your dry painting. Trace to form as many hearts as you need and then cut them out.
- Glue each heart to the front of a notecard. Then write a personalized message on each card. Original HEARTwork for everyone!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
