My Christmas celebrations have a Swedish twist, with woven wheat angel ornaments on the tree, and plenty of gold and red running through the decorations. Baby blue hydrangea and cherry red roses work well in my Scandinavian palette.
I grabbed an old enamel blue bowl for this arrangement, though a low silver bowl would also be pretty.
Prepare and soak Oasis according to the package directions, cut the hydrangea stems with a sharp knife at an angle, and fill the bowl with the flowers, starting from the bottom, and working up to the top.
Piano Frieland garden roses are a bright and cheery red, open beautifully, and last a long time. Carefully insert them among the hydrangea, working them into the oasis as well.
Set on a table with the carnation and juniper centerpieces.
